Give your Christianity away...
Why is it so easy to fall into the "us against them" mentality? I see this a lot in Christianity-- especially apologetics. We see those who oppose the gospel as infidels, enemies to God, those who we must refute! Why is it so against our human nature to see them as those most in need of God? Why is it that so many refuse to show God's love to those who most need to see it?
Rom 5:8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
While I was still His enemy, He died for me. While I was still His enemy, He was bruised for my transgressions, crushed for my iniquities, judged in my place. The only difference between "us" and "them" is that we found the bread and they still starve. We found the living waters and they still thirst!
Isa 29:8 As when a hungry man dreams he is eating and awakes with his hunger not satisfied, or as when a thirsty man dreams he is drinking and awakes faint, with his thirst not quenched, so shall the multitude of all the nations be that fight against Mount Zion.
Our hearts should be burdened for the world-- for all of those who think they have found the answers, and are yet unfilled. It isn't enough to live in God's grace and be thankful for that. It isn't enough to have God. We should be giving Him away! Our attention should be turned without, and our hearts should be burning. It isn't enough to be in the "us"; we should be burdened for "them".
