apologia's blog

Outcry

()

I won't spend a lot of time commenting on this, because hopefully the content should speak for itself. The embedded video of Bill Oreilly's segment which hosted the leader of the new youth movement "BattleCry", and a representative from the "World Can't Wait Advisory Board", Sunsara Taylor, shows a shocking level of hate, bigotry, malice and narrow-mindedness-- and not from the Christians!. Irony is beautiful isn't it?

Spiritual Rheumatism

()

I was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis. It’s painful. It sometimes keeps me from doing even the simplest of tasks, like tying my shoes, or playing ball with my son. At its worst, it keeps me from doing what I’m here to do—be a good father, husband, employee, etc… It’s so fierce and debilitating because it’s actually my body attacking itself. My immune system mistakes my joints and organs for intruders and attacks them.

The Essence of Belief

()

Today, I thought I’d expand on the theme of yesterday’s blog, “How Much Does God Have to Do?” The subject in question for today is belief, and more specifically the essence of the knowledge.

How much more does God have to do?

()

I was recently watching a debate between an apologist and an atheist. The atheist seemed to base a lot of his argument on the fact that, if there was a God, it seems He would reveal Himself in a much clearer and more specific manner. The atheist refused to believe in large part due to a lack of proof. Now, my last blog "Science Ex Nihilo" speaks more to the fact of the revelation of God in nature, and the logical proofs inherent in existence. But His general revelation is not the subject of discussion here. The subject in question is specific revelation.

Science Ex Nihilo

()

I'm truly amazed at some of the brilliant people this world produces. Seriously. Pick up any science mag out there and just think about some of the stuff you'll read. It's enough to make me thankful that I'm not quite that smart, because I prefer to actually use my brain with a bit of reason in the mix.
